Interests
Volunteering in Women In ITI
While at Rutgers University, I had the wonderful opportunity to teach/guide students on different career and education-related topics. The organization aims to create a community and provide resources for women in STEM so that they may have the same opportunties to thrive. Here are some examples of our workshops (conducted with an e-board) to help students:

Resume/Interview Prep Workshop
Students requested for assistance on how to set up their resumes. We wanted to help our peers feel comfortable applying for jobs/opportunities and walk them through the process of doing so through tips and examples.
Professional Events
We aim to connect students with professional recruiters and companies. The organization and companies work together to teach students helpful professional and personal skills in relation to networking. A lot of these events were online. It showed us the importance on education translated across computers and the Internet.

Sample Lesson Plan

Ventriloquism
Outside of Women In ITI events and sample plans, I like to perform ventriloquism as a hobby! Ventriloquism is the art of illusion and making it appear like a dummy or puppet is speaking by moving its lips but not one's own. I have been doing ventriloquism for a few years and was inspired by America's Got Talent contestants who performed the act to entertain others. Through ventriloquism, I was able to create the persona of the puppet, Nina, and develop skits to entertain other people. Ventriloquism, to me, is more than a hobby but a passion and art that has allowed me to bring out the more confident sides in me.
